Jetblue Eliminates Trans-Fat

By | November 6, 2006

New York City has recently been involved in a controversy over the possibility of banning trans-fat from restaurants, among other things. Jetblue, New York’s hometown airline, has gotten into the act. Today, Jetblue announced that effective December 15th, Jetblue will offer a 100% trans-fat free selection of snacks and beverages with the addition of Chocobilly Chocolate Chunk cookies.
We appreciate an airline that offers a free selection of snacks in this day and age. It isn’t necessary, and we’ve come not to expect it anymore, but such things add a bit to the experience of flying…which becomes increasingly less glamorous each year. And as Jetblue comments, “requests for seconds or thirds are never discouraged.”
Their new snack lineup will include:

  • All Nuts Jumbo Cashew Halves
  • Doritos Munchies Mix
  • Immaculate Baking Co.’s Chocobilly’s Chocolate Chunk
  • Mamma Says Pistachio or Gingerbread Biscotti
  • Mrs. GoodCookie Jungle Crackers
  • Nabisco 100 Calorie Pack Wheat Thins Minis(long-haul flights only)
  • Terra Blues Potato Chips(the Official Snack of the Airline)
