This week brings a bunch of new service offerings.
- American Eagle will add nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Shreveport, Louisiana beginning April 10 using a 50-seater Embraer regional jet once daily.
- Delta is adding five new nonstop destinations this summer from Atlanta: Fort Smith, Arkansas(June 7); Halifax, Nova Scotia(June 7); Kalispell, MT(June 9); Newburgh, NY(May 7); State College, PA(June 7). Delta will also resume seasonal nonstop service to various cities.
- American Eagle will also add nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare and Halifax, Nova Scotia on weekends beginning May 1st. The service, which follows Eagle’s successful Halifax to both LaGuardia and Kennedy Airports in New York, will be operated with a 70-seat CRJ700.
- Air China will start nonstop service between Beijing and Sapporo, Japan on the island of Hokkaido, twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays effective April 18th. Air China is China’s only flag carrier.
- American Eagle will be adding a fifth daily roundtrip between Fort Wayne, Indiana and Chicago and a third daily roundtrip to Dallas. The service improvements are attributed to Fort Wayne’s Traffic and Revenue Improvement Plan which provides airlines rebates on airport fees.
- Delta is also adding service in Los Angeles with two new once-daily nonstop routes: Seattle, Washington(June 7)and Los Mochis Mexico(June 2).
- American Eagle will add a second daily roundtrip between Pensacola, Florida and Chicago using a 44-seat regional jet.
