Service Ends and Service Begins

  • ATA will be ending all flights to Washington-National and New York’s LaGuardia Airport by January 7th. The aircraft will be redeployed on charter routes until their planned 2009 international expansion. Not only will this be a significant reduction in ATA’s East Coast operations, as well as denying Southwest’s opportunity to codeshare on these flights into these popular airports.
  • Jetblue announced new service from New York’s JFK Airport to St. Maarten in the Netherland Antilles and Puerto Plana in the Dominican Republic. Service to Puerto Plana will begin January 10th, with St. Maarten service beginning January 17th, both operated by A320 aircraft.
