It’s time here at Flight Wisdom to review the latest in airplane manufacturing…
- Airbus
- Airbus delivered the first Airbus 380 to Singapore Airlines last month. After delivering the first four superjumbos to Singapore Airlines, Airbus will have to redesign cabins and electrical layouts for Emirates Airlines and Qantas. It is scheduled to hand over 13 planes in 2008, 25 in 2009, and 45 in 2010.
- The A380 began its service from Singapore to Sydney. Here is a seating chart for the plane. Singapore offers 12 private suites, two of which can be combined to provide double beds, 23-inch LCD TVs, and other amenities. Sixty business-class seats offer lie-flat suits.
- Boeing
- The Boeing 787, like the A380 before it, is suffering from delays. The company has pushed its schedule back by six months, and hopes to be back on schedule by 2010…Analysts do not think the delays are as severe as the ones that plagued Airbus.

- Sukhoi
- The Cranky Flier has this great picture of the Sukhoi Superjet, which has attracted little attention compared to more prominent projects.
