UK Soon to Follow US in Travel-Sized Liquids…is World Far Behind?

By | September 28, 2006

Upgradetravel reported in a post that according to the British press, the UK is poised to follow the US in allowing travel-sized toiletries to be brought through security…just proving that where the US goes, the world will follow.

These regulations would limit containers to less than 100ml, carried in a transparent bag and presented for screening. Despite the rapidity of the US decision, the British have announced it will be eased sometime in early November. Pressure has been brought on the British to relax their restrictions, as passengers from the US to the UK can have travel toiletries, but are barred from it on the return.

As the decision was made with input from European Union security officials, we expect the rest of the EU to adopt these regulations soon, as well as the rest of the world.
