  • The Belligham Herald reports new Bellingham airline, Western Airlines, has apparently cancelled all service. Certainly a short time for an airline to be in business.
  • Delta is offering an expanded summer schedule to Alaska. On May 23rd, it will offer daily service from Anchorage to Atlanta and to Cincinatti. On June 3rd, it will offer Fairbanks to Salt Lake City service five times weekly. Finally, on June 7th, it will commence Anchorage to Los Angeles service four times weekly. Delta’s year round Salt Lake City to Anchorage flights will be upgraded to two daily nonstops.
  • Southwest is adding new flights as part of its summer schedule. These will include:
    • Effective May 4th
      • One new nonstop roundtrip between Denver and Tampa Bay
      • A tenth daily roundtrip between Baltimore and Orlando
      • A third daily roundtrip between Baltimore and Denver
      • A second daily roundtrip between Detroit and Orlando
    • Effective May 13th
      • A fifth daily roundtrip between Chicago Midway and Manchester
      • Second daily roundtrip between Chicago Midway and Norfolk, San Jose, and Tucson
      • A tenth daily roundtrip between San Jose and Burbank
      • A fourth daily roundtrip between Las Vegas and Portland
  • American Eagle will be launching once daily service between Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Miami, Florida using a 44 seat Embraer Regional Jet.
