Jerry Meekins is on a mission to change the No Refund Policy of Spirit Airlines.
Meekins recently purchased a ticket on Spirit, and subsequently was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer. It was his expectation, that under the circumstances, Spirit might make an exception of return his money.
Spirit responded that it wouldn’t be fair to bend the policy for him and not for everyone, and “we don’t do refunds and we are not going to issue Mr. Meekins a refund.”
Meekins and his friends are protesting outside Tampa International Airport, hoping to change Spirit’s blanket policy.
To be fair, Spirit is right. They can’t make one exception, because they’d have to make them all. But, Spirit is wrong. There are exceptions to everything, and this should be one of them.
