It’s been 16 years since a Colgan Air plane crashed on approach to Buffalo, killing 50 in February 2009. Until yesterday, there was not another significant airline crash in the United States since that day. A remarkable safety record, and we find ourselves in a vastly different world now. Twitter was already quite popular then, but we don’t recall every airport taking to it to express their condolences to Buffalo’s airport. We have noticed today, however, that a memo seems to have gone out telling each airport to do so. Here are some that we have found; please share additional examples in the comments.
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson(ATL)
Denver International Airport(DEN)
Orlando International Airport(MCO)
Charlotte Douglas International Airport(CLT)
Pittsburgh Airport(PIT) This one mentions the Wichita airport , from where the ill-fated flight departed as well. There was an earlier version of the tweet that was deleted.
Miami International Airport(MIA)

Philadelphia International Airport(PHL)
Baltimore Thurgood Marshall Airport(BWI)
Memphis International Airport(MEM)
